Chanda means moon, and its name comes straight from the shape of the chair. The solid reclaimed teak wood base is formed from two broad curved arcs. The curved teak seat and back give Chanda its almost crescent-like profile and wide, stable stance.
The seat and back are woven with cane, with no break at the lumbar. This lets the body settle into the chair and lean back into proper lounging. Red and natural cane are woven together in a barfi diamond pattern.
