Carved from a blocks of solid wood this mortar and pestle is a call back to an earlier time. The mortar sits on a wide base that keeps it steady . The pestle is turned with a rounded knob at the top that settles into the palm. It has a rustic and marked finish with small nicks. We cleaned and refinished it, but left those marks alone.
Keep it on an open kitchen shelf or console to add charm.
